About Us
B&R Moll Inc. is the leading manufacturer of folder gluers, digital rotary die cutters, and specialized finishing equipment. We are a family owned and operated company involving three generations. Formerly known has Dick Moll and Sons, we pioneered the first simplistic and affordable folder/gluer over 50 years ago.
In 1977, Dick Moll and his sons, Bruce and Rick, started their company in the family garage. During their nights and weekends, they rebuilt folding machines and regrinding/molding paper fold rollers. While working as a salesman for Baum Folders, Dick noticed countless customers inefficiently taping pocket folders by hand. Dick, a high school dropout with a natural engineer’s mind set, sat down at his kitchen table and sketched out the first hand Fed Pocket Folder Gluer on a napkin. This sketch went into production in 1985. While others have tried to copy, they have never come close to the simplicity and quality Moll still holds to this day. Dick was involved with the company until the early 2000’s until Bruce and Rick took over the company in 2002.
Since then, Moll continues to add to our product line and upgrade our machines. Moll has also expanded its global offerings by starting a sister company in London, England that is still in operation today.
In 2007, Bruce’s sons, Kevin and Daniel joined the company. Leading up to this time Kevin and Daniel spent countless summers in the machine shop, electrical department, and assembly. While the company has grown significantly over the years, it has not lost sight of what is truly important – the customer. Moll’s customer-based focus has allowed us to expand into Japan, Australia, and Canada. During those times we expanded our mailing, packaging, and digital rotary die cutter offerings. In 2013 we moved to a new building, doubling in size, and expanded our machine shop in order to keep up with production and R&D efforts. We now utilize a state-of-the-art inventory system, along with in-house machining that allows us to continue to take on any customer’s project.
